Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents during weekend shifts
- Follow established menus, recipes, and portion guidelines to ensure consistency
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food storage and handling procedures
- Assist with kitchen inventory, restocking supplies, and reporting shortages
- Accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions as directed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and caregiving team to ensure timely meal service
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a cook, food service, or dietary aide role preferred
- Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices
- Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines accurately
- Availability to work weekend shifts consistently and reliably
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Compassionate, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to serving others
- Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus
